Ubuntu 10.10 And ATI Proprietary Drivers

As a ATI card user you may know that proprietary drivers suck.
New version of ATI Proprietary Drivers that support x server 1.9 has been released and it brings some fixes that will make you happy.

Maximize Delay/Lag With Compiz has been fixed, now you don't need to add PPA to fix it.

For those who had problems with gtk-recordmydesktop, that is fixed and you can record with no problem.

Tearing in videos has been fixed, but if you still have tearing read this tutorial how to fix it.

Compiz Water Effect plugin now works :)

Now only thing that you need to do is to fix ugly plymouth boot that you will get after installing ATI drivers.

To fix it read this tutorial on Sofpedia.

Enjoy the new drivers with less frustration.
